JUST IN: ‘Sanctuary Sheriff’ Of San Francisco Just Hit With DEVASTATING Dose Of Karma

The San Francisco Sheriff has been blamed for the death of Kate Steinle by many different people after he ignored a detention request for her killer from federal officials, and he was just smacked right upside the head with an epic dose of karma.

Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi has been under heavy scrutiny ever since Steinle was murdered by an illegal immigrant who had been deported five times and had a retainer request issued by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement that Mirkarimi ignored. Rightfully so, people were upset the sheriff appeared to be more concerned about being nice to illegals than ensuring the safety of American citizens, and now he’s paying a price for it…a big price.

The Daily Mail reports that not only did Mirkarimi lose his bid to get re-elected, but San Francisco residents delivered a landslide victory to his opponent, retired sheriff’s official Vicki Hennessey.

Ouch. More from the Daily Mail:

A San Francisco sheriff caught up in a national debate on immigration reform has lost his bid for re-election by a wide-margin.

Partial returns from Tuesday’s vote show Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi losing to retired sheriff’s official Vicki Hennessy. She has the backing of Mayor Ed Lee and the deputies association.

With more than 90,000 votes counted, Hennessy had 62 per cent compared to just 31 per cent for Mirkarimi. Only two incumbent San Francisco sheriffs have lost re-election in the last 60 years.

The San Francisco sheriff’s office has been in the spotlight since a Mexican national in the country illegally was charged in the death of a local woman, 32-year-old Kate Steinle, who was shot dead on the San Francisco waterfront this summer.

Just four months before the shooting, the killer, Francisco Sanchez was released from jail even though federal officials had requested that he be detained.

Sanchez’s detainment was related to marijuana distribution charges that were later dropped. It is believed to have been deported five times previously.

Mirkarimi allowed Sanchez’s release on the basis of the city’s sanctuary policies, which generally prohibit law enforcement from cooperating with immigration officials.

Whoever told these idiot politicians that it’s a good idea to side with foreign invaders rather than the American people is an idiot themselves. Thankfully, it appears as if the people of San Francisco are also fed up with it, so let’s hope that mentality spreads across the state.
